US-ENTERTAINMENT-TELEVISION-RUSSIA-THEAMERICANS
An electric billboard advertising television show "The Americans" is viewed in New York's Times Square on January 29, 2015. The show, a critically acclaimed thriller about husband-and-wife KGB agents who kill, spy and lie in suburban Washington DC, returned to US TV screens on January 28 for a third season. The Cold War may be officially over and the plotline far-fetched but the show proved a surprise hit even before the FBI this week arrested a suspected Russian agent posing as a New York banker. Evgeny Buryakov, 39, was captured following more than two years of FBI surveillance as he fed economic intelligence to Moscow and sought to recruit US residents as sources.
