UNITED STATES - SEPTEMBER 10: British born photographer Tony Ray-Jones (1941-1972) received an MFA diploma from the Yale University School of Art, Conneticut in the summer of 1964. Until the end of 1965 he spent his energies photographing the street life of New York which included festivals, demostrations and parades. Class was to be a constant theme in his work and he took special interest, when in the USA, in the American underclass. His work uniquely combines social documentary with an intensely personal vision. (Photo by SSPL/Getty Images)
