Lash readjusts his vocal chords after singing a ditty to the committee. The witness sang a song to illustrate union activities. He sang, If you see an un-American looking far and near. Alcholize with Martin Dies and he will disappear. Acting Chairman Representative Starnes of Alabama, after the audience laughed, said, I don't think you can carry a tune.
