Weeb Ewbank, coach of the New York Jets got the biggest lift
UNITED STATES - JANUARY 12: Weeb Ewbank, coach of the New York Jets got the biggest lift of his 21-year coaching career when he was hoisted into the air by his jubilant Jets after they won the AFL Championship by beating Oakland, 27-23, at Shea Stadium, Jet and AFL fans hope the victory scene will be repeated on Sunday, Jan. 12, when the Jets take on the super-slick Baltimore Colts, kingpins of the NFL. The Jets' first AFL title made Ewbank the first coach to win championships in both leagues. He guided the same Colts to the NFL title in 1958 and '59. Little ol' Weeb, a former Miami of Ohio quarterback and an aid on the AAC and NFL champ Browns, would like nothing better than a Super Bowl win.
