VOICED: Makeshift camps in northern France are now home to thousands of migrants trying to reach the UK. And they are growing - with the main camp in Calais more than doubling in recent weeks. Residents have been living in increasingly squalid conditions - most of them at the end of often grueling journeys from North Africa or, increasingly, Syria and Iraq. Now local people have begun taking it on themselves to help the refugees.
