Bobby Locke Swinging Golf Club
(Original Caption) All eyes focused today on Bobby Locke, the mechanical golfer from South Africa, as the man to beat in the British open championships. Locke didn't lead the field at the end of yesterday's first round, but he was just one stroke off the race with a 69. The leader was Arthur Lees, a round little Yorkshireman, with a 68. This photo was made as Locke blistered the par 74 Lochgren Course near here, with a record 68 in qualifying play for the open.
