World War II Ambulance
(Original Caption) An American field service ambulance stops at a blood bank a short distance behind the fighting lines in the desert to collect blood plasma from wounded soldiers it will pick up on the field of battle. These ambulances serve in the Middle East and are attached to the British Middle East forces, the Fighting French forces and the U.S. Army Air Forces in this area. They are driven by volunteer Americans who serve without pay.
