Hockey Players Crowded Near Edge of Stadium During Players Confrontation
(Original Caption) An official steps between Eric Nesterenko, (R), of the Maple Leafs and Jack Evans, (behind official), of the Rangers, after the pair had started a fist fight during the third period of a game at Madison Square Garden. Other Ranger and Toronto players are helping another official hold Evans back. When the battle was over, Evans suffered a cut on the head, and Nesterenko, a bloody mouth. The pair had been after each other from the start of the game and were banished after the fight. The Rangers won, 3-1.
