LISBON, PORTUGAL - MAY 18: Chilean writer Isabel Allende presents the Portuguese edition of her new novel ‘My Name is Emilia del Valle’, which was launched on May 15 by Porto Editora, on May 18, 2025, in Lisbon, Portugal. At the age of 82, Isabel Allende has won more than 60 international awards. In 2018, she was the first Spanish-language author to receive the National Book Award Medal of Honour in the United States. She has sold more than 75 million copies and is the most widely read Spanish-speaking author in the world. Among her best-known books are ‘The House of the Spirits’, ‘Paula’ and ‘Eva Luna’.
