Turin, ITALY: Chinese skater Zhang Dan is helped off the ice after she crashed into the boards edging the Palavela arena while attempting to create history by landing an unprecedented throw quad salchow during their performance in the Pairs Free Skating program at the 2006 Winter Olympics, 13 February 2006 at the Palavela in Turin. After her fall, Zhang Dan was helped off the ice by her partner. After several minutes of confusion, during which the pair consulted their coaches, Zhang Dan and Zhang Hao decided to continue which gave them a personal best score to hold their second place from the short programme. China's Zhang Dan and Zhang Hao's fresh start after a bad fall during the opening of the figure skating free skate final at the Palavela on Monday night was ratified 14 February 2006 by the International Skating Union (ISU). The pair is now targetting world domination after their courageous free programme gave their country a first ever Olympic Games figure skating silver.
