F 361063 007 01 Dec 1999 Cape Canaveral, Florida A video clip from the camera mounted on the first stage of the Delta II rocket shows the release of the solid rocket boosters as Earth recedes from view.The Mars Polar Lander spacecraft is scheduled to land on Mars December 3. The 1,270 pound lander, developed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, will also deploy two small probes that are set to crash into the ground and search for water.
