NOV 13 1977, NOV 14 1977 Fair Attractions Margaret O'Brien, a Boulder clinical hypnotist demonstrating the power of suggestion, left, and Cora Starkel, reading tea leaves, above, were two par?ticipants in the Psychic Fair at the Capri Hotel, West 84th Avenue and the Valley Highway Sunday. After putting herself under hypnosis, O'Brien was placed between the chairs and stayed rigid. According to fair officials, leaf reading is similar to crystal-ball gazing. The individual who is being read drinks a cup of tea, then the reader turns the cup upside down to get rid of excess moisture. The leaves, below, are then read. Leaves are thought to indicate something about the tea drinker's past, present or future. Credit: Denver Post (Denver Post via Getty Images)
