The Evacuated And Devastated City Of Prypiat Near Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant

On April 26, 1986, the fourth reactor of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded. The city of Prypiat was evacuated due to the consequences of the explosion. It was one of the youngest cities in Ukraine and was built as an ideal city for workers of the ChNPP, which was to become a symbol of scientific progress. On February 24, 2022, during the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant was captured by Russian military. On March 31, Russian troops left the city.
