(Original Caption) First Seattle Jap Evacuees Leave For Puyallup. Seattle, Washington: The first 300 of more than 6,000 Japanese who will be evacuated from Seattle are shown boarding buses which will carry them to their temporary reception center at the Western Washington Fair Grounds at Puyallup. From there they will be sent to resettlement centers, either in California, Arizona, or Idaho.
