Tenley Takes the Lead
Former World Skating Champion Tenley Albright of Newton, MA, took the lead on points February 16th a the end of the first day of women's competition in the 1955 World Figure Skating Championship in Vienna. Miss Albright, a 19-year-old pre-medical student, won the world crown in 1953. She is shown above during a practice session on the Vienna ice.
