Winner of the Cowdin last time out, Jaipur was a supplemental nominee for the Champagne at a fee of $10,000. The mile Champagne is annually one of the decisive races in the battle for two-year-old championship honors. Having its 90th running this year, the Champagne is the oldest race in the country for two-year-olds.
