(Original Caption) Gus Courts of Belzoni, Miss., a member for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, lies in critical condition in a hospital in Mound Bayou, November 26th, wounded in the stomach and arm. Courts claims that he was fired upon by three or four white men. He had recently been involved in a voting controversy.
