Sidewalk Sam, Artist Turned Streets Into Canvas, Dies

The project organized by popular artist Robert Guillemin who is Side Walk Sam kicked off the event by the painting of a 200 foot Dove of Peace on City Hall Plaza with many helpers. Following the kick-off, ten teams comprised of 3-5 youths, an artist and a student supervisor will paint two Doves of Peace each day, five days a week, over a period of six weeks throughout Boston's neighborhoods, resulting in 600 doves being painted on the ground to promote the message of non-violence.
