The large machine uses 6 spindles, with dozens of drill bits on each spindle, to drill the most precise holes in the circuit boards. The machine is electronically programmed for exact precision. Advanced Circuits, based at 21101 E. 32nd Parkway in Aurora makes customized circuit boards. They are a rapidly growing company owned by an investment firm called Compass Diversified Holdings, which provides a different way of making private equity. Compass helped fund a management buyout a few years back. They claim to be the number 1 in quick turn printed circuit boards in the nation, meaning that they can produce and ship out circuit boards in as fast as a day. The company does about 350 printed jobs a day. Helen H. Richardson/The Denver Post (Photo By Helen H. Richardson/The Denver Post via Getty Images)
