Yogi Berra led off with a homer and Stengel, (L) shouts encouragement from the dugout, as Brooklyn's lead is reduced to 4-3. Joe Collins, with a three-two count, struck out, and Stengel grimaced. Billy Martin hit into a double play and Stengel wheeled as the inning ended with Yanks still trailing. Brooklyn won 5-3.
