Moria hot spot - refugee camp, Lesvos island

Moria is a refugee camp used as a hot spot for refugees to be recorded and apply the asylum application. Moria is near the city of Mytilene in Lesvos island in Greece near the Turkish coast. Nowadays Moria hosts almost 8000 people inside the camp and about 3000 outside of the official facilities. The camp's maximum designed capacity is to host 2800 people. The new refugees and migrants that arrive to the island, have to wait 12 months until their first interview with EASO, the European Asylum Agency. Images are shot in July 12, 2018.
