Monte Irvin Shakes Roy Campanella's Hand
New York Giants outfielder Monte Irvin congratulates Roy Campanella of the Dodgers on winning the National League Most Valuable Player award for 1951. Campanella is the first catcher ever to become MVP. Irvin finished third in the balloting. The two men are in Houston for the Negro All-Star Game.
