(Original Caption) A pair of third period goals by veterans Ted Lindsay and Gordie Howe gave the Detroit Red Wings a 3 to 1 victory tonight over the Montreal Canadiens in the third game of their best-of-seven Stanley Cup hockey playoff finals. In this 2nd period action Metro Prystoi of the Red Wings, second from left, sent a shot into the Canadien goalie, Jacques Plante who cleared the play. Left to right are: Don Marshall, Montreal; Prystoi, Detroit, Canadien goalie Plante; and Doug Harvey, Montreal. The win was Detroit's first in the series. The Canadiens took the first two games.
