PARIS, FRANCE: A photo taken 14 May 2004 of French Georges Melies' (1861-1938) gravestone with the silence sculpture at Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. Pere Lachaise is the largest cemetery in Paris and one of the most famous in the world. The cemetery is a veritable roll-call of the great and good who have illuminated all facets of French and Parisian life over the past 200 years. It is also the location of five Great War memorials.
