SYRIA-US-CONFLICT-STRIKE
A picture taken on April 16, 2018 in the rebel-held Syrian town of Binnish shows 45-year-old Syrian artist Aziz al-Asmar posing next to a graffiti he drew, with a caption next to it reading in Arabic: "Abu Ivanka, may God guide you, your strike is like a roosters fart."
The graffiti, which refers to US President Donald Trump as "Father of Ivanka", shows three missiles being spewed out of a rooster's backside.
It was painted on a wall in the town of Binnish, in a rebel-controlled area of the northeastern Syrian province of Idlib, in the aftermath of April 14 missiles strikes on Syrian regime targets by the United States, France and Britain.
"It was like a useless cry," al-Asmar said of the strikes launched in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack on the rebel town of Douma, near Damascus.
The graffiti "is a message to the US administration and Trump that our people has really been disappointed by the US administration's policies. It would have toppled Bashar al-Assad by now if it had really wanted to," he said. / AFP PHOTO / OMAR HAJ KADOUR (Photo credit should read OMAR HAJ KADOUR/AFP via Getty Images)
