Kennedy and Vice President Richard Nixon meet for the first time just before their first nationally televised debate on domestic issues, at WBBM-TV studios, Chicago, Illinois, 26th September 1960. In center is Howard K. Smith, moderator. This was the first-ever televised presidential debate in the USA.
