San Fernando, California: Rescue workers search through the wreckage of the collapsed San Fernando Veterans' Hospital wing in which numerous patients and hospital workers are believed trapped. Early reports say that seven died when the building collapsed during a rolling earthquake, February 9th that shook Southern California. Damage was widespread with reports still coming in as late as six hours after the first shock.
