Scoreboard in the background tells the story of Laver's victory over Tony Roche--7-9, 6-1, and 6-2--in the final round. His victory clinched a grand slam, as he previously won the French, Australian and Wimbledon (English) titles to complete an unprecedented second grand slam. Laver won $16,000 as first prize money at Forest Hills. 9/8/1969
