Russian Army soldier inspects 31 March 1995 at a cemetery in Grozny, capital of the breakaway southern republic of Chechnya, the bodies of Chechen civilians killed during the winter fights and exhumed for identification. Russian troops entered Chechnya 11 December 1994 with the stated aim of introducing constitutional rule in the Caucasus republic.
