A scraping robot collects the fresh manure in the stall and dumps them into the pre-pit to feed the digester of the Biolectric short circuit agricultural micro-methanisation plant at EARL du Haut-Vent, in Marcheville-en-Woevre, northeastern France on January 30, 2024. Micro-methanisation is a diversification for dairy farmers in France and with the new effluent storage rules that require a minimum retention of six months in France and nine months in EU, its operation had to undergo transformations. In the stable of Aymeric Sauce, a scraper robot passes among the cows every three hours to collect the slurry and push it into a pre-ditch. It will then be pumped into a large round machine, the digester, where it will remain maintained at a temperature of around 42°C, allowing the production of biogas.
