ENGLAND - AUGUST 06: A snapshot photograph of two women and a man on the beach, taken by an unknown photographer in about 1930. Two women rip the shirt from a man on a beach in a staged play-fight. The man arches his head back and struggles in vain as the women on either side pull off his clothes. An atypical subject for a seaside snapshot, this photograph may have been taken for use by Kodak in an advertising campaign. Originally a shooting term, the word 'snapshot' was first linked with photography in the late 1850s, when it was used to describe a photograph taken with a brief exposure.
