The casket of American politician William McKinley (1843 - 1901), the 25th President of the United States, is removed from a train car during funeral services in Canton, Ohio, September 18, 1901. McKinley was assassinated four days earlier, on September 14, while attending the Pan American Conference in Buffalo, New York. His interment is in Canton, where he started his career in politics.
