BRAZIL-AIR-ACCIDENT
The coffins with the victims of the Voepass plane crash are placed inside the FAB KC-390 aircraft by members of the Brazilian Air Force at the Sao Paulo air base in Guarulhos, Brazil, on August 13, 2024, before being transported to Cascavel in southern Parana state. Sixty-two people died on August 9 when their ATR 72-500 plane operated by airline Voepass tumbled from the sky, as experts began examining the doomed aircraft's black boxes to determine the cause of the disaster. The ATR 72-500 fell in a sickening downward spin before it crashed into a residential area in the town of Vinhedo, some 80 km northwest of Brazil's financial capital Sao Paulo.
