Glen Innes Residents Wait To Return Home Following Deadly Bushfires

Two people died in the fire that went through the Kangawalla area, near Glen Innes on the New South Wales north coast on Friday and dozens of homes are thought to be destroyed. Drought-like conditions across Northern NSW and Queensland coupled with hot weather and winds have hampered efforts to bring more than 80 fires under control over the weekend. Three people have died and others are missing, while more than 150 homes have been destroyed by bushfires currently burning across northern New South Wales and south east Queensland.
