Wellington's Funeral
The state funeral procession of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington (1769 - 1852) passes Wellington Arch (originally called Green Park Arch), at the entrance to Constitution Hill, London, 18th November 1852. The arch commemorates British victories in the Napoleonic Wars, and was topped with an equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington until the monument was moved and rebuilt in 1882-3.
