(Original Caption) This pensive young man is Jackie Robins on, the phenomenal Negro athlete who first won fame at the University of California in Los Angeles, and who is now adding to it in professional baseball. The Brooklyn Dodgers signed Jackie up and put him in their No. 1 Farm Club, the Montreal Royals of the International League, where he did better than could reasonably be expected. Now he is in Havana for spring training with the Royals. He is studying a roster of the Dodgers here, and very probably wondering when his name is going to appear thereon.
