(Original Caption) 3/15/46-New York: While 2,000 pickets assembled outside the Waldorf-Astoria chanted "Churchill Wants War; We Want Peace," Winston Churchill, Britain's wartime Prime Minister, speaking at a banquet in his honor in the main ballroom of the hotel, told a world radio audience that the peace of the world depends upon the co-operation of Great Britain and the United States. Churchill added that he did not wish to withdraw or "modify a single word" of the attack he made on Russia at Fulton, MO, last week.
