Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China - The altar reflects eclectic nature of Chinese Buddhism that shares many beliefs with Taoism and Chinese folk religion. Three figures in the center are Buddhas of the three times: past, present and future. To the right there is image of Bodhisattva Guan Yin, who is worshiped as goddess of mercy. The left image depicts General Guan Yu, the real historical figure, who now associates with Sangharama Bodhisattva.On the top there are eight symbols of Buddhism.
