The late Spring countryside as seen through a set of large mirrors on the Weavers Way long distance walking path. It shows the hillscape roughly as it appears naturally, but with distortions caused by reflections and overlaps. In black and white it becomes stark, and weirdly “ghostly”. The creepy effect is enhanced by the contrast of the lushness of the trees and plants with the single dead tree. The mirrors are grouped in a way that leaves a long, thin, rectangular space that is open, it offers a way into the world behind them; but the light in that section is harsh and unwelcoming. (This is a single shot, but composite in that it is the result of the way those mirrors, their overlaps and the gaps between are composed at that viewpoint.)
