This is a leafy vegetable that has several cultivar groups. It's grown as annual vegetable crop. It contains trisaccharides raffinose which humans small intestine cannot digest causing intestinal gas. It is a good source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K and Vitamin B. Cabbage is Russia's national food.
