Part of the Emerald Coast, it is a popular touristic location, offering a panorama over the Mont Saint-Michel, the Cancale and the Saint-Malo bays. The photography, directed towards Cancale, shows the turquoise color of the bay and a rocky beach with several leisure boats moored off the headland. Victim of overtourism, the Pointe du Grouin is protected since 1930 and classified as "Espace Naturel Sensible". It is also famous for being the geographical starting point of the Route du Rhum race.
