The facade of the catedral of St Anastasia and its bell tower illuminated in Zadar - stock photo

Zadar, Croatia. April 28, 2019. Seen at night, the main façade of the Cathedral is located on the small square Trg Svete Stoije. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Anastasia and was founded by the Byzantines in the 9th century but rebuilt between the 12th and 14th centuries. In its architecture are mixed Romanesque and Gothic elements as seen with the two rosettes that decorate its facade: Romanesque with the largest diameter and Gothic the smallest.
