Giant clam - 4K stock video
View down onto a giant clam (Tridacna sp.). The inside of the shell is lined with a fleshy mantle that contains symbiotic zooxanthellae, photosynthetic algae that provide food for their host. The clam's siphon is also seen, a hole in the mantle through which water is moved to facilitate respiration. Filmed on the Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Queensland, Australia.
