“Stop Asian Hate” – Chinatown, NYC
NEW YORK, NY – MARCH 21: In light of the recent rise in Anti-AAPI (Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders) hate crimes and in response to the attack in Atlanta, Georgia, a large crowd gathers in Manhattan Chinatown’s Columbus Park on March 21, 2021. Diverse cultures and backgrounds rally to protest the killing of eight people and honor its victims. Per the Press Release the goal of today’s event is to “… send a message to local politicians that anti-Asian hate is an urgent issue that needs to be immediately addressed. Unite as a community to show concern and compassion for recent events.” (Footage by Tomas Abad/Getty Images)
