Montana Senator Steve Daines says at a Senate and Natural Resources Committee legislative hearing to thank brave firefighters, smoke jumpers and pallets of first responders across the West for ongoing heroism and sacrifice and battling deadly wildfires, he had visited the Bridger foothills fire near his hometown of Bozeman which destroyed 28 homes, thanking officials for injuring the lives were lost, asking for a moment of silence in honor and remembrance of 35 individuals who lost their lives and a grieving American families who lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods in the wildfires.
