Senator McConnell reads definition of Bork as Kavanaugh nomination considered

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky says in a speech on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh the word for plainly representing the record and character of a judicial nominee was to Bork, named for Judge Robert Bork slandered in the 1980s when groups plainly and shamelessly distorted his record, his name was in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, meaning to attack or defend the nominee unfairly through an organized campaign of harsh criticism or vilification.
