Spectacular Red-and-Green Macaws at a Clay Lick - stock video
Red-and-Green Macaws (Ara chloropterus) at a clay lick in the Peruvian Amazon. It is not clear why parrots eat soil from these strata, but neutralization of toxins in foods and high sodium content in the clay in an otherwise sodium-poor environment have been suggested as explanations.
