Japan soccer star Honda ready to play for Aussie premier side
Video footage taken on Aug. 15 in Melbourne shows Japanese soccer player Keisuke Honda speaking to reporters and meeting his new teammates at the Melbourne Victory. Speaking in English, Honda, 32, said he was looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Australian A-League, reversing his previous plan to retire after joining the Japanese national team at this year’s World Cup. Honda met his new teammates on the club’s pitch where the stands were hung with banners welcoming him into the fold.
